The purpose of the NEPA process (National Environmental Policy Act) for construction grants is to make sure the environment is considered before the government agrees to fund or approve a construction project.
If a project gets federal funding, through a construction grant, NEPA requires a review to see how the project might affect the environment.
Southeast Crescent Regional Commission (SCRC) is a federal-state partnership authorized in the 2008 Farm Bill to promote and encourage economic development in areas of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and all of Florida.
